Code Five

Neat lil hidden gem in the middle of Wheelers Hill. Food was tasty and well balance of flavours. Quality of food esp. the bacon, was very good. Potato rosti was so-so and could be better. Coffee was decent. Great atmosphere for brunch dates, very clean inside and outside and dog friendly. Good and attentive table service.

Had an absolutely brilliant brunch experience at Code 5 Café, and I’m still thinking about it! I came here with one of my girlfriends, and I have to give her full credit — she truly recommended a gem. From the moment we walked in, the place felt welcoming, stylish, and full of good energy, making it the perfect spot to catch up. We both went for vegetarian dishes, and wow — the food seriously delivered. The spiced jackfruit tacos were packed with bold flavours, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. Each bite had the perfect balance of spice and texture. We also ordered the Okonomiyaki, the Japanese pancake, and it was an absolute standout. Soft, savoury, and cooked to perfection — comforting yet exciting at the same time. For drinks, my friend ordered a mocha, which she really enjoyed . I went for a smoothie with acai, banana, mixed berries, and coconut water — it was okay-ish for me, but the real stars were definitely the food. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, adding to the smooth and relaxed experience. The vibes were immaculate — great lighting, great atmosphere, and an ideal setting for photos and long conversations. Overall, Code 5 Café nailed it with amazing food, lovely service, and a feel-good ambience. We had such a great time and will definitely be visiting again soon. Highly recommend for brunch lovers!

Nice local cafe, good food and friendly service. We had the smashed avo (+eggs) and the bacon Benny (+rosti), both were delish, eggs were perfect, the rosti were nice, not the best, but still nice enough. The coffee was okay, not too bad. Definitely worth popping by for brunch/lunch once in a while.

Had the dirty chai and the chicken burrito bowl, after a great recommendation from staff. The seasoning of chipotle chicken was so on point, and feel like I need it again. I felt it was generous amount of chicken, really a good thing compared to others I've had with price considered. There is also a layer of rice underneath all of this. Well presented too. Fantastic dish and the guac felt freshly made. Dirty chai is a self pour sifting through the spices. Other dish is the prawn omelette, another great dish. Egg was soft and fluffy.

Code Five has a good vibe, and they are frequented by locals in the Wheeler’s Hill area. The team are super friendly and very personable, we had great fun with the staff when we dinned in for breakfast. They serve exceptional food and have a seasonal menu that is worth exploring. Their coffee is good, but just short of great, still worth trying and you’d be happy you did.

Fantastic brunch. We were warmly greeted from the moment we stepped onto the ramp. Coffee good, food awesome. We are going back soon because I need to try everything on the extensive menu. Lots of tables, inside and out. Highly recommend booking as it was very busy, but the service was great and fast!

Code Five has a good vibe. Have had lunch there before. Enjoyed their coffee this time. My friend had the strawberry and white chocolate muffin. It was devine. Freshly baked.

I was attracted to their delicious menu and so we ordered the Tiramisu French Toast and the Chimichuri Shakshuka. Both were delicious and did not disappoint. I do wish more toast came with the Shakshuka as I ended up ordering more sourdough toast to accompany the eggy, tomatoey sauce. It was a little chaotic as the restaurant was fairly busy and we did have to wait a while to be seated but otherwise I would highly recommend.
